How Revolut ranks
Revolut's investing product is embedded directly in the same app as its banking, payments, and currency exchange services. For existing Revolut customers, starting fractional share investing requires no separate account, no new KYC process, and no additional app. This convenience is the primary differentiator against standalone brokers.
The investing feature covers 2,000+ US and European stocks with fractional shares from $1 per position, real share ownership (not CFDs) held in a nominee structure. Dividends are paid, positions can be sold at market prices, and there is no separate investment app to download.
Revolut's stock investing is available across all account tiers. Standard accounts (free) receive one commission-free trade per month; additional trades cost £1 each in the UK or a comparable fee in other markets. Premium, Metal, and Ultra plan subscribers receive unlimited commission-free trades as part of their monthly plan fee (£9.99 to £45/month). For users already paying for a Revolut Premium or Metal plan for travel and banking benefits, the unlimited trading is effectively included at no marginal cost.
Revolut Ltd holds FCA licence 900562 (UK). Revolut Bank UAB, the EU banking subsidiary, is licensed by the Central Bank of Lithuania and holds a European banking licence enabling passporting across the EU. The Central Bank of Ireland also regulates Revolut's Irish operations. UK investing through Revolut is protected under FSCS up to GBP 85,000 on eligible investments.
Revolut's investing interface is functional but thin. There is no stock screener, no analyst research integration, no technical charting beyond basic price history, and no Level II data. The trade execution interface is minimal compared to eToro, Trading 212, or Freetrade. Revolut does not offer an ISA account for UK investors, and cryptocurrency positions are synthetic exposure without direct custody, not actual coin ownership.
Revolut is the right choice for existing Revolut customers on Premium or Metal plans who want to start fractional stock investing without opening a second app or account. For investors who want analytical tools, ISA wrappers, or active trading capability, Trading 212, Freetrade, or eToro provide more investment-focused platforms at similar or lower cost.

Revolut Standard plan includes 1 commission-free US stock trade per month; Revolut Metal includes unlimited commission-free trades.
Refer a friend to Revolut and both you and your friend receive a cash reward once they open an account and complete qualifying activity.
Revolut's strength is consolidation: banking, payments, and fractional stock investing from a single app. The investing product is not the most capable on the market, but for existing Revolut users who want to start investing without opening a separate brokerage account, the convenience proposition is genuine.
