How Markets.com ranks
Markets.com operates under CySEC (092/08), FCA (595450), ASIC (418036), and FSCA (43906) simultaneously, a four-regulator stack covering EU/EEA, UK, Australia, and South Africa from a single broker relationship. The $25 minimum deposit is the lowest among brokers holding this combination of Tier 1 licences, which makes it accessible for retail traders in regulated markets who start with limited capital.
EUR/USD spreads average 0.6 pips on the standard account during London hours, and the 2,200+ instrument range covers shares CFDs across US, EU, and UK exchanges alongside the standard forex, indices, and commodities lineup.
The proprietary web platform is functional and clean: customisable watchlists, basic charting with 30+ indicators, and one-click order execution. It suits traders who want a simple no-download interface. MT4 and MT5 are both available for traders who need algorithmic trading, Expert Advisors, or a more capable analytical environment. The mobile app mirrors the web platform's core functions.
FCA coverage (595450) gives UK clients FSCS protection up to GBP 85,000. CySEC coverage gives EU clients access to the ICF compensation scheme up to EUR 20,000. ASIC covers Australian and Asia-Pacific clients, while FSCA covers South African clients. No single other broker in this review covers all four jurisdictions from a single account structure.
EUR/USD spreads at 0.6 pips are above the ECN average and the platform does not offer raw spread accounts with transparent commission. Research tools are limited: no integrated analyst reports, no stock screener. Not available to US clients.
Markets.com suits retail traders in the EU, UK, Australia, and South Africa who want broad regulatory coverage, a low entry point, and a clean proprietary platform without needing raw ECN pricing or advanced research tools.

The spreads are quite tight, but there are some issues with customer service that need to be fixed. I've been trading here for six months and their MT4/MT5 platforms are fairly stable. Even so, I feel the swap fees are a bit high.
