All of FP Markets' main platforms, MT4, MT5, cTrader, and TradingView, support crypto CFD trading. For traders running automated strategies on MetaTrader or TradingView, crypto exposure integrates naturally alongside forex and indices positions.

Regulation

FP Markets is regulated by ASIC (286354) in Australia and CySEC (371/18) for EU clients. ASIC is one of the most stringent retail financial market regulators globally. Crypto CFD trades with FP Markets occur within a properly regulated framework with segregated client funds, a very different safety profile from operating on an unregulated or lightly regulated crypto exchange.

Costs

Crypto CFD spreads on FP Markets are variable, and typically range from 0.3-1% on BTC/USD during normal market hours. There is no commission on crypto CFDs, the spread is the full cost. Overnight financing applies to open positions held past the daily cut-off time.

Limitations

FP Markets offers only crypto CFDs, not real coin ownership. There is no staking, no on-chain withdrawal, and no DeFi access. The coin selection is narrower than dedicated crypto exchanges. The IRESS platform (available for share CFDs) does not include crypto.
