ATFX for crypto: regulated CFDs on MT4

ATFX offers cryptocurrency CFDs on major tokens including Bitcoin (BTC/USD), Ethereum (ETH/USD), Litecoin (LTC/USD), Ripple (XRP/USD), and several other leading coins. All crypto CFDs are available on MT4, ATFX's sole trading platform, alongside the broker's forex, equity, commodity, and index instruments. For traders who already operate on MT4, adding crypto exposure requires no additional platform or account.

Regulation and safety

ATFX is regulated by the FCA in the UK (FRN 828455), CySEC in the EU (285/15), and FSCA in South Africa (51619). UK clients benefit from FSCS protection up to GBP 85,000, negative balance protection, and segregated client funds at Tier 1 banks. This regulatory framework is substantially stronger than offshore or lightly regulated crypto trading venues.

Trading costs

ATFX uses a variable spread model on crypto CFDs. Bitcoin spreads typically range from 0.5-2% depending on market liquidity and session timing. There is no commission on crypto CFDs, the spread is the all-in cost. Standard account spreads on forex (from 1.8 pips) carry over to a comparable cost model on crypto, meaning ATFX is not a cost-optimised choice for high-frequency crypto traders.

Platform and instruments

MT4 handles crypto CFDs identically to other instruments, the same order types, charting tools, and Expert Advisors are available.
